🚨 Current Scam Warnings
1. Job Scams
• Fake job offers via email, WhatsApp, or job sites.
• Red flags: high pay, remote roles, requests for payment or personal info.
• Never pay to secure a job or provide sensitive details.
2. ‘Safe Account’ Scams
• Criminals impersonate banks or police, urging you to move money to a “safe account.”
• Legitimate banks will never ask you to do this.
• Hang up and call your bank using the number on your card.
3. Messaging Scams
• Texts or WhatsApps from unknown numbers pretending to be friends/family asking for money.
• Always verify identity through known contact methods before responding.
4. Tax Scams
• Fake HMRC messages about rebates or overdue payments.
• HMRC will never ask for passwords, OTPs, or bank details via text or email.
5. Romance Scams
• Online “relationships” that lead to emotional manipulation and requests for money.
• Never send money to someone you haven’t met in person.
6. Deepfake Investment Scams
• Videos using fake AI-generated voices or faces promoting “easy money.”
• Always verify investment opportunities through official channels.
7. Holiday & Black Friday Scams
• Fake travel deals, refund agents, or too-good-to-be-true sales.
• Use official websites, avoid bank transfers, and check for ABTA/ATOL protection.
8. Courier Fraud
• Scammers posing as police or bank staff send couriers to collect cards, cash, or valuables.

• Fraudsters trick you into dialing codes that forward your calls to them.
• If in doubt, dial ##002# to cancel all diversions.
10. Money Mule Recruitment
• Offers to move money through your account in exchange for payment.
• This is illegal and can lead to serious consequences.
11. Fake Apps
• Fraudulent apps mimic real ones to steal your data.
• Only download apps from official app stores.
12. Ticket & Parcel Scams
• Fake tickets or delivery messages with malicious links.
